Coronavirus Updates

Please see the following update regarding the coronavirus:

  • The Health Department is working with the NYS Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), County departments, local healthcare partners, and post-secondary institutions to monitor local cases, provide guidance on personal hygiene and infection control, and consult on recommendations for movement restriction.
  • The CDC has recently issued travel guidance for China, Iran, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. Travelers returning from affected international locations where community spread is occurring are at elevated risk of exposure.
  • The number of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus is available at  The risk of exposure to Onondaga County residents is still considered low. The Health Department, working with our partners, will communicate with the public if there are any new developments that involve COVID-19 and require the public to take additional steps.
  • The best steps to protect oneself from respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19 are to: wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and throw the tissue in the trash; avoid close contact with people who are sick; and, stay home when you feel ill and consult with your healthcare provider. Facemasks are not recommended for people who are well. They should be worn by people who have symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath to protect others.
  • As a reminder, the flu season is currently at a peak in NYS and Onondaga County and everyone should take the steps noted above to protect themselves.

Hanging Baskets in the Village

As part of the ongoing efforts to beautify the Village’s Central Business District of Baldwinsville the Garden Club is seeking donations for the Hanging Baskets.  We hope you will again help us achieve another spectacular show of color throughout the business district.  Please complete the Order Form and send along with your donation.

A donation of $50.00 will hang a basket in the Business District and various park locations.  All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Water maintenance will again be done by the Village DPW crew.  Their diligence has helped make sure that the flowers are kept at their best.  For a total first class look the Garden Club members will weed and monitor the flowers.

We “thank you” for your ongoing support and hope you will again help us fund this floral display to showcase our village and your businesses.
